Pralines are a staple in the south, and are a personal favorite of mine
Pecan Praline
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated white sugar
- 1 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups pecan halves or pieces
- 2 tbsp butter cut into small pieces
- 1 tbsp karo syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Boil sugar and milk till it reaches the soft ball stage and remove from heat
- Add butter and pecans
- Beat until mixture begins to stick the the sides of the pot
- Spoon onto corn shucks, or equivalent for hardening

I’ve not tried this recipe yet, but I do love a good praline.
